Student project
Every year, the students write proposals for and implement a number of development projects in local communities. In past years, students have managed the completion of boarding house dormitories, fences and roofs, arranged jewelry-making training and financial literacy training and much more. These projects and training were arranged in cooperation with Room to Grow and Khom Loy.
WH moved to Myanmar in December 2017 and have begun new academic year in January 2018. During the academic year student have managed to complete the number projects by cooperation with Danish Church Aid, Mote Oo, The Pocatepetl Trust and Child's Dream.
MIEP Organizational Development Training Project

Standardized curriculum is very important for every school. However, Mon Intensive English
Program (MIEP) does not have systematic English curriculum for 6 months course. This problem
effects to the students’ learning because the English curriculum is essential for MIEP to set up
the students’ goal to improve English skills for continued further study.
Wide Horizons Kitchen project

Kitchen is an essential place to make hygienic meals. However, Wide Horizons School is facing with kitchen problem such as messy and disorganized materials. These are creating many hygienic problems because of dogs, mice and other insects come and eat the rubbish and get bad smell from rubbish liquid leaking out. Additionally, it can effect to the students and staffs’ health. To solve this problem, we will reorganize and buy kitchen materials to make neat and tidy.
Bunk Bed Frame Project

In the girl’s dormitory of Wide Horizons, the students faced unsafe sleep. The causes of this problem are not enough space, insects come and stay under the student’s mats and materials, and also students sleep on cement floor. This effect to physical and mental health problems to girl students at WH girl’s dormitory. We have found that building bed frame is the best solution to solve this problem.
Wide Horizons Girl Dormitory Toilet Project

Toilets are necessary for peoples’ life and public health. However, a toilet is not enough at girls’ dormitory at Wide Horizons program. Insufficient toilets effect to students’ health and cannot manage the time, late the class and duties. We recommend building a new toilet to solve this problem.
