Problems statement
In Wide Horizons (WH), 23 students and 3 teachers are facing the problem because the heavy rain hit the classroom and come inside to the classroom, especially in raining season. When the rain is heavy, it hits the wall and comes inside the classroom. According to student’s small group discussion, when the rain come inside the students and teachers have to cover the school’s computer with plastic bags. Moreover, the students have to be busy with covering the computers and students’ books. Due to the class room’s entrance wall does not cover with the glass on the top level of wall, it is easy to rain come inside. There also does not have cap roof at the entrance wall. So that, all students and teachers are felt unsafe for materials in raining season.
Project
To reduce this issue, Wide Horizons students and staffs decided to build cap roof of the entrance wall that can protect the rain is the best solution. The cap roof is about 34ft length x 6ft width x 7ft height with wood posts and plastic zinc to cover outside wall to protect the classroom’s materials in the class. This project will benefit for Wide Horizons students to reduce their worried and protect classroom’s computers when heavy rain come.
