Wide Horizons Girl Dormitory Toilet Project

Goal
●To provide sufficient toilet for students at girls’ dormitory in Wide Horizons.

Objective
● Construct a new toilet on October 1 to 10, 2018 for 12 students and one staff at girls’ dormitory in Wide Horizons to reduce waiting time for using toilet.

Problem Statement

Toilets are necessary for peoples’ life and public health. However, a toilet is not enough

at girls’ dormitory at Wide Horizons program. Insufficient toilets effect to students’ health and cannot manage the time, late the class and duties. We recommend building a new toilet to solve this problem.

WH girl students are facing inadequate toilet. According to our survey, 12 students

have to wait each other for using toilet especially in the morning time, and 5 students already had stomach problem. Consequently, that make them more feel uneasy and awkward when they are waiting to use toilet. Likewise, 5 students are late their duties especially shopping duty, cooking duty and class.

Moreover, 12 students cannot wait for using toilet in dorm, and they have to use toilet

in school. They also mentioned that they felt uncomfortable using school toilet because the

toilet is close by kitchen room and office.

Project

To solve this problem, we recommend building a new toilet with bricks and cements

beside the old toilet. We will connect new toilet feces pipe with old one, and we are going to

flow into old toilet feces hole. As a result, we do not need to dig a new feces hole for new toilet.

Insufficient toilet is causes of WH girl student’s health problem, but it can be solved by

building new toilet beside the old toilet. After building the new toilet, 12 students and 1 staff

in girl’s dormitory do not need to wait each other for using the toilet. Moreover, they will feel

more comfortable instead of using toilet in school. Therefore, we would like you to consider

for us to get these benefit for all the girls in dormitory.
